"Fine 12 Details, Corroded" All obverse detail is visible including a full date, Liberty and portrait with the major parts of the hair detail visible. Coin is a dark ebony brown color in the fields, with medium brown color on the high points. The surfaces are highly porous with a coat of corrosion, more visible on the reverse. The first year of the Half Cent as well as the scarcest date in the series. You get lots of detail for the price on this legendary rarity housed in an older ANACS holder. Greysheet is $6,750 in F12, $3,850 in VG8 and even $2,650 in G4!

Reverse is rotated about 20 degrees, and all the detail clear with a bit of weakness in the center. The surfaces have some areas of light pitting and porosity. A larger planchet crack is visible on both sides, along with a few rim nicks. Overall, a nice and more affordable specimen of the first U.S. Half Cent! Item #113579
1793 Wreath Cent F Details PCGS
"F Details - Env. Damage S-5 Vine and Bars Edge" Obverse has lovely medium brown color with a full date and plenty of hair detail visible. The surfaces are evenly porous, causing some slight weakness in the word LIBERTY, though still fully visible. A little planchet streak is noted in the lower right obverse field. The reverse is a deeper brown color with even, heavier porosity and all the major detail visible. The porosity makes some of the detail a bit weaker, though still all visible. A nice example of this very scarce Wreath Cent that was minted the first year the U.S. mint started producing coins! Greysheet is $6,500 in F12 and $3,800 in VG8! We have this one priced to sell!

Item #117437
1793 Wreath Cent F Details PCGS Vines and Bars
'F Details Damage PCGS' This legendary rarity has mottled lighter and darker color on both sides from corrosion. The reverse is mostly a darker color with heavier corrosion. Obverse shows a couple of hidden scratches, and with magnification some hairlines are visible from a past cleaning. Date and Liberty are bold, along with a full portrait and ends of the hair detail showing detail. All detail is clear on the reverse, though the corrosion makes the fraction faint. Item #117353
1793 Wreath Cent Fine Details NGC
"Fine Details - Corrosion" Has Fine details overall with dark brown color and some deep maroon on the left obverse. The surfaces show corrosion, most notably on the left half of the obverse, which detracts a bit from the hair detail of Liberty. Reverse has even dark corrosion, with all the major detail visible. This one year type coin is always in high demand, and priced at a huge discount from a problem free example. Greysheet is $5,500 in F12, $3,500 in VG8 and even $2,500 in G4!

1793 Wreath Cent VF Detail PCGS Gold Shield
Item #117634
1793 Wreath Cent VF Detail PCGS Gold Shield
"VF Detail - Tooled" Even deeper brown color with some lighter, caramel color on the high points of the hair. A very well struck specimen with sharp VF detail and all detail bold except for the fraction, which is just slightly weak. The surfaces have some light to moderate porosity visible mainly in the fields, though not very noticeable unless examined up close. With magnification, there are some light, uniform scratches on the high parts of the hair detail, and a few on the cheek. While a glass reveals some imperfections of this piece, it has a great "arms length" presence, and has the look of a much more expensive coin. One of the nicest Wreath Cents we have offered! Greysheet is $9,000 in VF20, $6,500 in F12 and even $3,800 in VG8!
$3295.00
1793 Wreath Cent VG Detail PCGS Gold Shield
Item #118055
1793 Wreath Cent VG Detail PCGS Gold Shield
"VG Detail - Excessive Corrosion" Has VG detail with darker brown color and porous surfaces. While the surfaces display moderate to heavy porosity on both sides, there is minimal physical corrosion buildup, with some maroon areas along the lower reverse rim. The portrait is full with some hair detail visible, the date is weak yet readable though LIBERTY is quite weak. Reverse shows most of the major detail, though weak along the rim from 4:00 to 7:00. There is a thin scratch running from the N in CENT to the A in STATES. An affordable example of this very scarce early cent! Greysheet is $3,800 in VG8 and $2,300 in G4! Vines and Bars variety
$1495.00
1793 Wreath Cent VG Details PCGS
Item #118354
1793 Wreath Cent VG Details PCGS
"VG Details - Env. Damage" Looks more G4 detail in our opinion, though more likely it is a weakly struck VG. The portrait is fully outlined and Liberty is weak yet readable, though the date is not visible. Reverse has most of the central detail visible, with a weak strike along the peripheries making most of the mottos quite weak. The surfaces are porous, and there are rust-colored planchet splits visible on the lower portion of both sides. A very affordable, certified example of this very scarce issue! Lettered Edge variety

1794 Flowing Hair Half Dollar G Details NCS
Item #108641
1794 Flowing Hair Half Dollar G Details NCS
"G Details - Tooled, Reverse Graffiti" A pleasing example of this ultra-rare coin that has a full date along with all the major detail visible including ample hair detail for the grade. The surfaces are a lighter gray color, giving it an original look though hairlines can be found underneath from a past cleaning. Obverse has a few short, minor bag scratches, while reverse has some graffiti that resembles the letter 'W' etched into the field above the eagle's head, along with a couple pinpoint nicks at the top. A sharp G4 with some minor problems, but overall has a nice look. Housed in an older NCS holder, which was NGC's original holder for problem coins. Such an extremely scarce coin, and very tough to find at this low price level!
$2195.00
1794 Franklin Press Plain Edge Token MS63 NGC Brown
Item #117560
1794 Franklin Press Plain Edge Token MS63 NGC Brown
Impressive medium to slightly deeper brown color with lots of reddish tan highlights throughout the obverse, and around the lettering of the reverse. A well struck example with no major marks and lovely eye appeal. The 1794 Franklin Press Token belongs to a series of British-made pieces known as "Conder" Tokens (Halfpenny- and Penny-sized tokens made for sale to collectors and sometimes used as advertising tokens by certain merchants). Although the Franklin Press Tokens probably never circulated in America, collectors have included them as a U.S. "Colonial" coin because of the reference to the American patriot and statesman, Benjamin Franklin. The printing press illustrated on the front of this token is believed to be the same press used by Franklin while he worked in London, England as a journeyman printer! Priced well below the $1,500 Greysheet price!
$1095.00
1794 Half Cent F Detail PCGS
Item #111580
1794 Half Cent F Detail PCGS
"F Detail - Tooled" Even dark ebony grey fields with slightly lighter color on some of the high points. The obverse shows a full date, portrait and Liberty with evenly porous surfaces. The reverse is weakly struck, which is common on this very early issue, and shows most of the detail, though it is quite faint. The reverse surfaces show heavy porosity. While the holder states 'Tooled', it seems that it was incorrectly mark as we would think this one would be marked as 'Environmental Damage'. We do not see any tooling marks, just dark, porous surfaces. A very scarce, early Half Cent with just 81,600 ever minted! Greysheet is $1,300 in F12 and $800 in VG8!
$595.00

1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime VF30 Details ANACS
Item #109808
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime VF30 Details ANACS
"VF30 Details Damaged-Cleaned" The Flowing Hair Half Dimes were only struck for two years, 1794 and 1795. The combined mintage of the two is only 86,416 coins, which much less surviving today. This example has sharp VF detail and lovely light silvery gray color despite being lightly cleaned. The strike is above average with ample hair detail, and typical softness on the eagle's wings, giving it a VF/F look. There is a pinpoint nick to the right of the '5' in the date, as well as a couple of minor obverse field scratches. An extremely rare coin that retains very nice eye appeal priced at a big discount! Housed in the original, small ANACS holder. Greysheet is $2,300 in VF20, $3000 in VF30 and $4,750 in XF!
$1875.00

Obverse shows sharp hair detail for the grade, while reverse has the normal soft strike on the outer area of the wings. There is an old, vertical scratch on the obverse extending from the ear to the bottom of the neck, and there is a small, hidden nick in the lower right obverse field. Otherwise, the surfaces are very nice with no other problems. This is only the second year of issue for the Half Dime, and quite scarce though much more affordable than the 1794. Lots of detail for the grade and priced at a huge discount. Greysheet is $4,750 in XF, $3.000 in VF30 and even $2,300 in VF20!

1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar F Detail PCGS

1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar F15 NGC
Item #116113
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar F15 NGC
Lovely and original with deeper grey fields and lighter silvery grey color on the high points. Coin is nicely struck for this very early vintage coin with weakness only on the 'CA' in AMERICA on the reverse. Obverse has a few scattered hairlines along with a couple rim nicks. Reverse has a number of adjustment marks in the lower right portion of the reverse. These adjustment marks are visible scrapes on the planchet made prior to the coin being struck on that planchet. They were made to reduce the silver weight of the planchet if the planchet was overweight, and is commonly seen on these early vintage coins. Pleasing eye appeal on this scarce, early half that is housed in a problem free F15 NGC holder!
$2149.00
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar Fine 15 Details ANACS
Item #118893
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar Fine 15 Details ANACS
"Fine 15 Details - Repaired/Cleaned" Pleasing light to medium grey color with a subtle hint of color at the top left obverse rim. This is a sharp Fine example with lots of hair detail. Coin is well struck overall, with the normal weak eagle's left (facing) wing. Reverse has a few mint-made adjustment marks along the rim area around 1:00 and 2:30, not to be confused with scratches. Though coin has an original look, it was cleaned long ago and there is a small repair in the right obverse field adjacent to the nose/mouth area of Miss Liberty. This is the first U.S. Half Dollar design and only the second year of issue. A lovely example that has a problem free look, though priced at a big discount. Housed in an old, small ANACS holder. Greysheet is $2,350 in VF, $1,850 in F12 and even $1,200 in VG8!
$1349.00
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar VF Detail PCGS Gold Shield
Item #110415
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar VF Detail PCGS Gold Shield
"VF Detail - Tooled" Pleasing light to medium gray color with full VF detail. The eagle shows nice feather detail for the grade, as so often it is very weakly struck in this area. There are many mint-made adjustment marks around the obverse rim from 2:00 to 3:00, and 7:00 to 9:00, and on the reverse rim from 10:00 to 12:00, and 3:00 to 5:00. Adjustment marks were done before the coin was minted. In the late 1700's and early 1800's, the planchet was weighed, and often scraped with a file to bring it to the proper weight and silver content. The coin was then struck, though usually most of the adjustment marks will still be seen. These are often mistaken for scratches, as they have a similar look, though usually run in a very parallel pattern. This coin also has a few light scratches in the central area of the obverse, which accounts for the "Tooled" designation given by PCGS. Greysheet is $2,350 in VF and $1,850 in F12. A great deal on this very scarce Flowing Hair Half Dollar that we rarely see!
$1795.00

1795 Flowing Half Dime EF40 Details ANACS
Item #113482
1795 Flowing Half Dime EF40 Details ANACS
"EF40 Details - Mount Removed/Altered Surfaces LM-10" Pleasing lighter silver color with VF-XF detail in our opinion. The surfaces are porous, though the detail is all clear. There is a larger chunk of solder visible at 12:00 on the obverse, and 6:00 on the reverse where a mount was removed, as this was most likely attached to a necklace decades ago. There is also a scrape at the top of Miss Liberty's head. A very rare, low mintage early Half Dime that, despite the problems, has nice detail and priced at a huge discount off the $5,250 Greysheet price for an XF40! Greysheet is $2,450 in VF20 and even $1,750 in F12!

Reverse has all the major detail visible. Coin is a dark, ebony brown color with porous surfaces from corrosion. This is the very scarce LIHERTY variety (S-103), which makes it look like it says LIHERTY instead of LIBERTY on the obverse! Greysheet is $2,300 in VG8 and even $1,100 in G4!

1800 Draped Bust Dollar AU50 NNC
Item #118646
1800 Draped Bust Dollar AU50 NNC
This vintage dollar has sharp XF detail in our opinion with lights silver grey fields and touches of rustic, copper gold toning on the high points of Miss Liberty and parts of the reverse. While technically the coin has been lightly cleaned, there are no significant hairlines giving the look of a problem free coin. NNC (National Numismatic Certification) is an obscure coin certification service that is still in business, though seems to have somewhat inconsistent grading over the years. Coin is in a certified holder graded as a problem free AU50, though we grade it XF40 with a light cleaning and are pricing it accordingly. Greysheet is $5,000 in AU50 and $3,000 in XF40. This one is priced to sell!

1800 Draped Bust Half Dime VF Details NGC
Item #114359
1800 Draped Bust Half Dime VF Details NGC
'VF Details - Damaged" A sharp VF with original, deeper grey color. The hair detail is sharp for the grade, as are the eagle's feathers. Some damage can be seen along parts of the rims on each side. Despite the problems, all detail is clear and sharp on this very scarce issue that has a scant mintage of just 40,000 pieces! Greysheet is $2,000 in VF20 and $1,500 in F12!

1801 Draped Bust Half F Detail PCGS Gold Shield
Item #118159
1801 Draped Bust Half F Detail PCGS Gold Shield
"F Detail - Damage" A solid F12 with medium grey color and all detail clear. From arm's length coin appears to have some porosity, though with closer inspection there are a myriad of tiny bubbles in the planchet, which are spread throughout the coin on both sides. Our guess is that the coin was exposed to heat at one time, which can cause this appearance. A very scarce, early date with a mere 30,289 ever minted! Greysheet is $1,850 in F12, $1,300 in VG8 and even $800 in G4!

While there are some SLIGHTLY lighter areas in the obverse fields, if the coin was cleaned it was a partial, very light cleaning and it certainly does not have the appearance of being cleaned. A very nice example of this early Bust Dollar and still has a huge price reduction! Greysheet is $1,800 in VF20!

There are a few old scrapes running diagonally across Miss Liberty's head, and a couple rim nicks on the reverse. There are traces of these same scratches on the obverse rim area from 2:00 to 3:00. Despite the problems, coin has very nice eye appeal and is priced way below the $975 Greysheet price!

1806/5 Bust Half AU Detail PCGS Gold Shield
"AU Detail - Cleaned Overton 103 Large Stars" Has a very original look with light grey centers and deeper grey around the peripheries of both sides. Reverse is sharp overall, though is weakly struck on the upper left wing and eagle's head, along with the clouds and a few of the stars. This area is often weakly struck on these vintage Bust Halves. "EF Details - Net VF20 Scratched-Cleaned" This scarce variety shows a clear overdate, even without magnification. Coin is a bit brighter from being cleaned, though the pretty gold toning on both sides gives it a more natural appearance. There is a thin, hairline scratch running across the face and bust, as well as a short scratch in the left obverse field. As typical, the eagle's left wing is weakly struck at the top. Coin looks more VF30 in our opinion. Greysheet is $1,150 in XF40, and $600 in VF20!
