(1694) London Elephant Token Half Penny AG3 PCGS (Thick)
Item #112780
(1694) London Elephant Token Half Penny AG3 PCGS (Thick)
A very scarce and popular Colonial featuring an elephant on the obverse. This example is very well worn, though most of the outline of the elephant is intact. Reverse is nearly worn away, though a few letters of the mottos are visible on each side. Coin has attractive medium brown color and is problem free except for a couple obverse rim nicks mentioned for accuracy. An affordable example of this old Colonial!
$395.00
1793 Half Cent PO-01 PCGS CAC
Item #111878
1793 Half Cent PO-01 PCGS CAC
A low grade example with pleasing, even deeper brown color. Surprisingly, the top half of the date is visible, although weak but easily enough to read. This is an attribute that is rarely found in this condition, as it is almost always worn away. The portrait is nearly full, though Liberty is worn away. The reverse is for all practical purposes worn away, though faint traces of the wreath and mottos can be found with closer scrutiny. The surfaces display light trace of porosity, though not severe enough to be noted on the holder. The is the first year of the Half Cent, and a very scarce date with just 35,334 minted, and much less thought to exist today. An affordable, certified and problem free example of this very scarce coin that comes complete with a green CAC sticker!

1794 Flowing Hair Half Dime F Details PCGS
Item #110935
1794 Flowing Hair Half Dime F Details PCGS
"F Details - Damage" Medium grey color with some slightly darker grey patches on the obverse. All the detail is clear on the obverse except a couple of the stars are weak from 2:00 to 3:00, as there appears to be a repair in that area. Reverse has the majority of the detail visible as well, though the left wing of the eagle is worn, probably due to a slight bow in the planchet. When examined closely, there are three small circular nicks hidden on the reverse, as well as some scratches on the eagle's wing. This is the first Half Dime ever produced, and there is no official mintage number. They estimate there are under 10k ever minted! An affordable example of this very rare coin! Greysheet is $2,500 in F12!
$895.00
1794 Flowing Hair Half Dollar G Details NCS
Item #108641
1794 Flowing Hair Half Dollar G Details NCS
"G Details - Tooled, Reverse Graffiti" A pleasing example of this ultra-rare coin that has a full date along with all the major detail visible including ample hair detail for the grade. The surfaces are a lighter gray color, giving it an original look though hairlines can be found underneath from a past cleaning. Obverse has a few short, minor bag scratches, while reverse has some graffiti that resembles the letter 'W' etched into the field above the eagle's head, along with a couple pinpoint nicks at the top. A sharp G4 with some minor problems, but overall has a nice look. Housed in an older NCS holder, which was NGC's original holder for problem coins. Such an extremely scarce coin, and very tough to find at this low price level! Greysheet is $2,800 in G4
$2,395.00
1794 Half Cent F Detail PCGS
Item #111580
1794 Half Cent F Detail PCGS
"F Detail - Tooled" Even dark ebony grey fields with slightly lighter color on some of the high points. The obverse shows a full date, portrait and Liberty with evenly porous surfaces. The reverse is weakly struck, which is common on this very early issue, and shows most of the detail, though it is quite faint. The reverse surfaces more heavily porous. While the holder states 'Tooled', it seems that it was incorrectly mark as we would think this one would be marked as 'Environmental Damage'. We do not see any tooling marks, just dark, porous surfaces. A very scarce, early Half Cent with just 81,600 ever minted! Greysheet is $1,300 in F12 and $800 in VG8!
$595.00

1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime VF30 Details ANACS
Item #109808
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime VF30 Details ANACS
"VF30 Details Damaged-Cleaned" The Flowing Hair Half Dimes were only struck for two years, 1794 and 1795. The combined mintage of the two is only 86,416 coins, which much less surviving today. This example has sharp VF detail and lovely light silvery gray color despite being lightly cleaned. The strike is above average with ample hair detail, and typical softness on the eagle's wings, giving it a VF/F look. There is a pinpoint nick to the right of the '5' in the date, as well as a couple of minor obverse field scratches. An extremely rare coin that retains very nice eye appeal priced at a big discount! Housed in the original, small ANACS holder. Greysheet is $2,450 in VF20 and $3,000 in XF!

1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar F15 NGC (2 Leaves)
Item #98565
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar F15 NGC (2 Leaves)
Pleasing original gun-metal gray color in the fields with lighter gray color on all the high points. All detail struck nicely with the exception of some slight softness on LIBERTY, though all fully readable. There are a couple of small rim nicks on the obverse. The reverse displays numerous adjustment marks, as originally minted and not to be confused with scratches. There is a heavy die crack through the M in AMERICA and is always present on O-122. Just 299,680 were ever minted, with only a small percentage surviving today. An opportunity to acquire this rarity and a very attractive price! Greysheet bid is $3,300 in VF!
$2,595.00
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar VF Detail PCGS Gold Shield
Item #110415
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar VF Detail PCGS Gold Shield
"VF Detail - Tooled" Pleasing light to medium gray color with full VF detail. The eagle shows nice feather detail for the grade, as so often it is very weakly struck in this area. There are many mint-made adjustment marks around the obverse rim from 2:00 to 3:00, and 7:00 to 9:00, and on the reverse rim from 10:00 to 12:00, and 3:00 to 5:00. Adjustment marks were done before the coin was minted. In the late 1700's and early 1800's, the planchet was weighed, and often scraped with a file to bring it to the proper weight and silver content. The coin was then struck, though usually most of the adjustment marks will still be seen. These are often mistaken for scratches, as they have a similar look, though usually run in a very parallel pattern. This coin also has a few light scratches in the central area of the obverse, which accounts for the "Tooled" designation given by PCGS. Greysheet is $3,300 in VF, and $2,200 in F12. A great deal on this very scarce Flowing Hair Half Dollar that we rarely see!
$1,895.00
1796 Draped Bust Dollar VG10 Small Eagle
Item #102519
1796 Draped Bust Dollar VG10 Small Eagle
This rare early Bust dollar bears the small eagle reverse and is sharp for the grade with attractive light gray color and beautiful light blue/gray toning in parts of the fields. Obverse has several tiny pinpoint nicks along with a few minor bag scratches. Reverse has about a dozen or so small, scattered nicks. There are no large nicks, and they blend in with the color of the coin making them not as noticeable. Coin shows traces of a very old, light cleaning along with several edge bruises. Despite the problems, this is an attractive example with lots of detail for the grade and price!
$1,849.00

Item #111653
1796 Large Cent VG10 Details ANACS LIHERTY Variety S-103
"VG10 Details - Corroded S-103" Looks more VG8 details in our opinion with a slightly weak yet readable date. The portrait is full with some of the bottom hair curls visible, and Liberty is full. Reverse has all the major detail visible. Coin is a dark, ebony brown color with porous surfaces from corrosion. This is the very scarce LIHERTY variety (S-103), which makes it look like it says LIHERTY instead of LIBERTY on the obverse! Greysheet is $1,000 in G4, $1,400 in VG8 and even $600 in AG3!
$625.00

'VF Details Damage PCGS Dotted Date' Lovely original gray color and nicely struck. The damage consists of a small nick behind Miss Liberty's head. These dots are from die rust, and do not show on early die states. This variety is very scarce with only an estimate of 700 specimens exist in all grades!! This would normally sell for about $2,800.
