1794 Flowing Hair Half Dollar G Details NCS
Item #108641
1794 Flowing Hair Half Dollar G Details NCS
"G Details - Tooled, Reverse Graffiti" A pleasing example of this ultra-rare coin that has a full date along with all the major detail visible including ample hair detail for the grade. The surfaces are a lighter gray color, giving it an original look though hairlines can be found underneath from a past cleaning. Obverse has a few short, minor bag scratches, while reverse has some graffiti that resembles the letter 'W' etched into the field above the eagle's head, along with a couple pinpoint nicks at the top. A sharp G4 with some minor problems, but overall has a nice look. Housed in an older NCS holder, which was NGC's original holder for problem coins. Such an extremely scarce coin, and very tough to find at this low price level! Greysheet is $2,600 in G4
$2,295.00
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar F Detail PCGS
Item #107962
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar F Detail PCGS
"F Detail - Graffiti" Handsome, original surfaces with pleasing gray color and nice surfaces. There is graffiti etched on the cheek, with a series of short scratches making a design. Otherwise, this very scarce coin is a pleasing, problem free example! A big discount off the $2,200 Greysheet price!
$1,495.00
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar F15 NGC (2 Leaves)
Item #98565
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar F15 NGC (2 Leaves)
Pleasing original gun-metal gray color in the fields with lighter gray color on all the high points. All detail struck nicely with the exception of some slight softness on LIBERTY, though all fully readable. There are a couple of small rim nicks on the obverse. The reverse displays numerous adjustment marks, as originally minted and not to be confused with scratches. There is a heavy die crack through the M in AMERICA and is always present on O-122. Just 299,680 were ever minted, with only a small percentage surviving today. An opportunity to acquire this rarity and a very attractive price! Greysheet bid is $3,300 in VF!
$2,595.00
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar VF Detail PCGS Gold Shield
Item #110415
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar VF Detail PCGS Gold Shield
"VF Detail - Tooled" Pleasing light to medium gray color with full VF detail. The eagle shows nice feather detail for the grade, as so often it is very weakly struck in this area. There are many mint-made adjustment marks around the obverse rim from 2:00 to 3:00, and 7:00 to 9:00, and on the reverse rim from 10:00 to 12:00, and 3:00 to 5:00. Adjustment marks were done before the coin was minted. In the late 1700's and early 1800's, the planchet was weighed, and often scraped with a file to bring it to the proper weight and silver content. The coin was then struck, though usually most of the adjustment marks will still be seen. These are often mistaken for scratches, as they have a similar look, though usually run in a very parallel pattern. This coin also has a few light scratches in the central area of the obverse, which accounts for the "Tooled" designation given by PCGS. Greysheet is $3,300 in VF, and $2,200 in F12. A great deal on this very scarce Flowing Hair Half Dollar that we rarely see!
$1,895.00
1806 Bust Half XF Details NGC
Item #110737
1806 Bust Half XF Details NGC
"XF Details, Improperly Cleaned" Pointed 6, No Stems, O-109. An XF example of the Draped Bust/Heraldic Eagle design. One of the most beautiful designs that graced vintage coins. A little gold toning on the peripheries and traces of lustre in some of the recesses. The old cleaning has toned back giving it a natural appearance. Nearly a $2,000 coin in this grade, but a big discount for the cleaning!
$1,195.00
1806 Draped Bust Half AU50 PCGS Gold Shield
Item #112499
1806 Draped Bust Half AU50 PCGS Gold Shield
Obverse has impressive brilliant luster in the center with lovely original gun metal blue toning around the peripheries. Reverse is fully toned in medium grey tones with some light blue shades on the right rim area. Coin is nicely struck for this year with beautiful eye appeal. It is very tough to find this early date in a problem free holder, as so many have been cleaned or have problems. A delightful example of this scarce date priced below the $3,100 Greysheet bid! Pointed 6, Stems
$2,795.00
1806 Draped Bust Half VF20 PCGS Gold Shield
Item #113286
1806 Draped Bust Half VF20 PCGS Gold Shield
Pristine original deep grey color with beautiful deep blue highlights on the obverse and reverse rims. A lovely original specimen that shows the normal weak strike on the eagle's head and upper left wing. So many of these early half dollars have problems or have been cleaned making it is quite tough to find a lovely, problem free example like this beauty! O-115a Pointed 6, Stem is noted on the holder
$649.00
1807 Draped Bust Half Dollar AU55 Details ICG
Item #109315
1807 Draped Bust Half Dollar AU55 Details ICG
"AU55 Details - Cleaned" This scarce coin has a lovely medium gray patina with slightly deeper color on the obverse, and lighter golden gray color on the reverse. Though there are no visible hairlines, coin was very lightly cleaned most likely decades ago, and has since toned back to a very natural color. Probably more of an AU50, though coin is well struck showing sharp hair detail, as well as full breast feathers, wing and shield detail on the reverse. Nice eye appeal on this exciting coin that is so rare, especially in this higher grade! Greysheet is $3,100 in AU50 and $5,500 in AU58!
$2,795.00

Item #112262
1812/1 Bust Half VF Details NGC
"VF Details - Cleaned Small 8" A VF with light silvery grey color and a touch of gold toning around the rims. Coin has an original appearance, though with close inspection there are some faint hairlines in the fields from an old cleaning. There is some mint-made die clashing evident in the obverse fields, along with an obverse rim nick under the date. A great deal on this popular variety!
$219.00
1814 Bust Half AU Details NGC O-103
Item #108890
1814 Bust Half AU Details NGC O-103
"AU Details - Cleaned" This is the Overton 103 variety, which is notable for very heavy mint-made die clashing across the surfaces. The die clashing is so pronounced on this example, that when first viewed, it appears the coin has a myriad of scratches. With closer inspection, these are all die clashing marks mainly visible in the obverse fields, though there is a large die crack on the reverse as well. Parts of "E PLURIBUS UNUM" can even be seen in the field area above the date! Coin is white with full AU detail, though has been cleaned. Greysheet is $700 in AU50. A very interesting coin with a $250 price reduction!

Item #112012
1817/3 Bust Half EF Details Net VF20 ANACS
"EF Details - Net VF20 Scratched-Cleaned" This scarce variety shows a clear overdate, even without magnification. Coin is a bit brighter from being cleaned, though the pretty gold toning on both sides gives it a more natural appearance. There is a thin, hairline scratch running across the face and bust, as well as a short scratch in the left obverse field. As typical, the eagle's left wing is weakly struck at the top. $199.00
1822 Bust Half AU Details PCGS Gold Shield
Item #113512
1822 Bust Half AU Details PCGS Gold Shield
"AU Detail - Cleaned" A very sharp AU with very little wear. Coin is fully toned in attractive medium gold toning with luster shining through. A coin that certainly does not have the appearance of being cleaned, nor has any hairlines. This one has the look of a problem free, toned AU that is nicely struck, but still has a big discount!
$319.00
1822 Bust Half F/VF Detail
Item #112413
  1822 Bust Half F/VF Detail
Fine to Very Fine detail with a reverse that looks a full VF. There is a long gouge across the neck area of Miss Liberty along with a nick on the cheek and three small scratches at the bottom of the reverse. Reverse has two darker streaks across the coin. This most likely occurred from having a rubber band around the holder, as it will quickly tarnish silver
