Attractive lustre and the full strike of a Proof! Only 3,436 minted!

All detail is clear. The surfaces are porous looking from being in the ocean. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Recovered on beach near Sandy Hook, MI. Has not been researched and attributed to a particular ship wreck.

A handsome exmaple with full golden/lavendar toning on both sides! Other than some scuffing on the cheek (not very visible in picture), the coin is quite mark free! Scarce in BU!

NCS is an NGC slab that has a flaw. There's a short scr. to the right of Washinton's shoulder. It's under the toning, and not obvious. It does give a big discount to this scarce historic coin!

Flawless silky white lustre over mark free surfaces! Frosty brilliant lustre on this stand out Gem.

Frosty white, as many GSA coins are. There are several varieties of overdates this year, this one is the '8/7 High'. There is a spike above the second 8, the seven is visible in the loops, and a raised piece of metal, the base of the 7, below the 8. Scarce.

Noted on slab, 'Lower left Rev. Brushed'. Basically, it was cleaned in the lower left reverse. This is a rarity with a scant mintage of only 16000! There are about 30 '09-S VDB's for every one of this rare date! AU50 Bid is $2850. We can pass along a great buy on this rarity!
